Adam Handler, Managing Attorney, Personal Injury Practice
Adam Handler joined Spar & Bernstein in 2005 and became Managing Attorney for the Spar & Bernstein Personal Injury practice in 2008. Mr. Handler manages the firm’s Family Law practice as well. He earned his undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland in 2000 and is a distinguished graduate of the Suffolk University Law School having graduated in 2003.
He recently obtained one of the highest verdicts in Spar & Bernstein history with a $2,550,000 award for a client who suffered injuries due to an automobile accident.
Mr. Handler is a highly-respected and successful personal injury attorney having litigated all types of cases including medical malpractice, slip/trip and falls, automobile and construction accidents. He has obtained multi-million dollar results through trial, arbitration and mediation processes.
He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the New York Bar Association. Mr. Handler is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, United States Supreme Court and the Federal Eastern District of New York.

Jared Cooper, Attorney, Personal Injury Practice
Jared Cooper joined Spar & Bernstein in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cooper practiced in the field of general civil litigation for 5 years. Mr. Cooper works in the Personal Injury and Family Practice at Spar & Bernstein, as well as the firm’s Commercial Practice. He earned his undergraduate degree in Sociology from Rutgers University in 2001 and his Juris Doctorate degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2007.
Mr. Cooper has litigated all types of personal injury cases including medical malpractice, slip/trip and falls, intentional torts, automobile and construction accidents. He has also negotiated numerous high-value settlements on behalf of our clients and is instrumental in handling the day-to-day aspects of all of Spar & Bernstein’s civil litigation cases. In addition, Mr. Cooper represents various small business clients on a wide array of matters, including corporate formation, contract drafting, business planning and litigation.
He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the New York Bar Association. Mr. Cooper is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of both New York and New Jersey,
